"owned for over 2 years"
with all the stock products on it it will keep you happy for months but after that you start upgrading. I have replaced the snare, replaced the cymbal replaced the stand and I got a double bass pedal for it, muffled all the toms and the bass drum and it sounds absolutly amazing, you dont have to buy a new drum set.... all you have to do is upgrade one thing at a time the toms.. the cymbals... the bass drum etc... you will save a lot of money that way trust me I have had this thing for over 2 years
Sound
sounds great better than a lot of drum sets I have played even pearl for example. right out of the box the snare head needs to be replaced its crap... but the snare itself lasts about 8 months and its toast, but I just bought a yamaha custom snare and it sounds great with it. the tom heads are actually very good and you shouldnt have to really replace them at all if you put a ring and a sound muffle on them, Im a hard hitter and they have held up very well. of course replace the cymbal, if your a beginner then just leave it its better to wail on the cheap cymbal that does not crack like an expensive brand cymbal.
Features
came with everything to start you out cant really buy a more perfect set of drums
Ease of Use
it is very easy to work with the tom heads can be a little annoying to tune because the heads are not of great expensive quality but if you tune it right it will sound great. cant modify the cymbal so look forward to upgrading soon
Quality
the quality is good I personally was ok with the sound of the snare until it decided to ring whenever I hit the tom heads which was extremly annoying. if you want perfect quality buy muffles for every drum. after I put one on the bass drum it sounded amazing especially with a double bass pedal.
Value
worth a lot more in my opinion since it sounds better than some top brands
Manufacturer Support
no need to contact support... it was perfect
The Wow Factor
looks great after 2 years of owning it, it has held up very well

"the best begginers drumset"
my only drumset and ive been playing for about 2 years now...planning to get another drumset just because i cant find anything good for this set at my low budget
Sound
heads that come with it suck but replace them with remo weatherking and you will be amazed...paiste pst 3 or 5 cymbals go great with this set.
Features
i love that it came with cymbals...its alot eaisier for a kid that just started to buy this set with the cymbals then buy a set with no cymbals and pay $200-300 or more on cymbals
Ease of Use
i can take everything apart and put it back together again in 10 min
Quality
the stock heads that come with it arent that great but besides that the drum shells are amazing, somebody said before that their floor tom ringed...use electrical tape to dampen it and it will sound amazing
Value
verry verry good...great starter set or a set to just lug around for small concerts
Manufacturer Support
never had to use it
The Wow Factor
i was verry impressed that it came with everything i needed to get started and thats what made me want it. it looks great in shows.

"Great product for the price. Definately recommended!"
Overall I am very pleased with this drum kit. All cymbals are cheap but it's something to hit until you can afford other used ones. I'm a stickler for detail and workmanship and this kit actually impressed me. The hardware seems of good quality. Great value for the starving drummer!! Keep on drummin'...
Sound
Learn how to tune drums and you will get the best sound out of them! Some Evans rings will make them sound even better!
Features
The chrome and mounts make this kit look $$$. Hardware looks heavy duty enough. The black is sharp and makes kit look more $$$
Quality
Been 2 months and I think (like anything) take care of it and it will take care of you!
Value
C'mon...it's a definite value for the basement rocker! (Friends thought it was a higher product like pearl!

"Some slight tune-ups and its perfect!"
Unless this drum set randomly goes missing, or perhaps a friend accidently lights it on fire, I will have it forever. I would though replace the bass drum pedal and hihat stand. This product was my first drum kit, and I've been learning how to use it for over a year. If this product was lost or stolen, I would buy a used drum kit of around the same price I paid for this. Its not worth replacing all the heads over agian. I wish I knew that the heads weren't all that great, or that the pedals were so small. I love the price, and the tuned-up sound. I dont like some one the lug hardware, but its workable!
Sound
Although the price seems to make you think this kit is cheap, I replaced the batter head on the top of all the toms (Evans G2) and both the heads on the snare (Evans genera hd dry, remo weather king). It sounds like an amazing kit. The cymbals that come with any drum set are horrible, dont get your hopes up.
Features
The only problem with features is, the floor tom could be an 8 lug, instead of 6.
Ease of Use
Once new heads are baught for toms and snare, it the tuning is easy. The bass drum heads are fine, a pillow inside that touches both heads make a perfect "punch" sound.
Quality
The quality comes with the price. I've had it for over a year, and I the only thing i broke was a snare head.
Value
This kit is well worth the price! Buy new heads and cymbals and its deffinitly a steal!
Manufacturer Support
I have never needed support
The Wow Factor

I am searching for a new product now, but I've has this one for about 2 years. I would have added on but there was no more drums to be bought of this brand. If it was stolen, I would buy a better one. I like that it was a good starter set but now I'm looking into better sets.
Sound
Pretty good if it's tunesthe right way but as you become better you should probably replace the drumheads and buy better cymbals.
Features
I wish it came with a crash cymbal.
Ease of Use
It's easy to play
Quality
Good hardware, don't think it'll break for a long time. The drumheads are a bit sucky but you can jsut replace them.
Value
Yes, it is totally worth it. Good for a starter set.

"Decent Drums."
Overall this product is a decent drum set. I've moved on from it, but it's was great for a starter like me.
Sound
The overall sound is good for beginners. It's sounds decent with all styles of music. It's not top of the line for sure, but it well worth the price. I got rid of the snare because it just got awful after a few months and replaced it with a Pearl Master Series BRX. The toms and bass are good, I can get a good punch sound out of the bass. To make it sound better I suggest you change the heads. Cymbals are just useless. I replaced them all, and I created my own china out of the crash/ride they give you.
Features
The hardware is alright. The high hat stand that was included in the package started to bend over time, and rust(2 years). They don't seem double brace well.
Quality
It came great, and had a lot of extra parts.
Value
Since its one of those brands that are unheard of it won't sell that great. But you could possibly get a tad bit more then the original price if you tune them right and let the buyer hear the sound. Also if you have a good set of cymbals it makes it sound a bit better.
Manufacturer Support
Had no reason to call in!
The Wow Factor
The colors aren't original. You got your standard black, blue, red. I prefer the color white, and maybe the hardware black.

"It is AMAZING!!! DO NOT PASS UP THIS DEAL!!!!!"
Verified Customer
zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I've had it for about a year now and I am looking for another floor tom to expand it. I still love the sound of it.
Sound
It sounds amazing if you know how to tune them right. I bought some Remo FiberSkyn Heads for this set and it blew me away. The snare tends to ring, so I took off my top drumhead for it and taped a piece of paper under it. It sounds pretty good. No ringing. I got rid of the cymbals because they were starting to bend and replaced them with Paist cymbals.
Features
It comes with everything you need to start playing. Awesome price for the product.
Ease of Use
SInce this was my first set, I was getting a little confused with the instructions. But I got them up in about 45 minutes.
Quality
All of the nuts and bolts seem to be holding fine. The hi-hat stand's top cymbal gets loose every now and then, but other than that it's good.
Value
If you pass up this price, you will definitely regret it. This is a steal!!!!!

"Love the look, sound, and feel."
Verified Purchaser
zZounds has verified that this reviewer purchased this specific product from us.
Summary: You will almost certainly want to replace the cymbal, and depending on taste you may want to replace the heads. easy to set up, very solid feel, very nice look. I highly recommend this set to anybody that is looking for a quailty set of drums for an extremely reasonable price.
Sound
Out of the box this set is perfectly playable. Depending on what you like your drums to sound like you don't NEED to replace anything. The stock heads sound good enough. All the heads are transparent so they tend to have a bright, resonant, lingering tone. I wanted a sharper, warmer tone so I started with replacing only the snare batter head (Remo weather king) and turned the stock head into a drum ring. Love the way it sounds now. The cymbal, as others have mentioned, leaves a lot to be desired. You CAN play it, but it kind of sounds like you dropped something down the stairs when you hit it.
Features
Everything that comes with the set is decent. The stands and throne are solid.
Ease of Use
This was a breeze to set up. If you've never seen or used a drum set the instructions might seem pretty sparse, but the assembly is pretty intuitive. Getting everything unwrapped and getting all the heads, stands, cymbals and other parts assembled took me maybe an hour. No problems at all, no missing parts, it was very simple.
Quality
I had some problem with onelock screw on the hi-hat stand and on the cymbal screw that locks the cymbal to the stand. They seemed to be slightly bent and it makes turning the screws difficult but I don't think it was any fault of the manufacturer (the box had a big dent in the side from being shipped. No damage to the set itself though). Everything else on the set is great. It looks amazing, it's got a very nice solid feel to it, I have no problem feeling like I can really beat on the set without fear of breaking anything. Like others have said, you may want to replace some of the heads and cymbals, but that's up to your personal taste, the set is perfectly playable with original equipment right out of the box.
Value
I looked at a lot of sets before I came across this one. I didn't see anything that had the same number of accessories and had the look and feel of a much more expensive set than this one. I love it. No complaints at all.
Manufacturer Support
I have never needed support. Everything worked.
The Wow Factor
This set looks great. Simple as that.

Really amazing product that will keep you rocking. With new heads, cymbal upgrades, and maybe a new hi-hat stand and bass drum pedal it will keep the beat moving.
Sound
Great sound for the price. I suggest getting new heads like Remos or Evans after a while. But you can't beat this value.
Features

"IT ROCKS!"
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I will probably keep this set for a long time and use it for the base of a build on idea. I will eventually add more toms, better cymbals, maybe a double bass pedal. But it's great- NOT for starters but for people who know what there doing. I mean, a starter could get it but wouldn't appreciate how good it is.
Sound
this is a really good drum set especially for the price. I have been playing drums for 8 years now and this is a good set. The cymbals leave alot to be desired but this will be the case with all the reasonably priced sets that come with cymbals.
Features
same thing about the cymbals as above. The hardware is simple to set up and works fine. The screws all tighten fine and stay in place.
Ease of Use
simple set up. Granted, I knew what i was doing but it's pretty simple. I got it up in 30 minutes.
Quality
The shells are great and the heads are acceptable. There are better heads out there but if you tune them well they will perform amazingly. Good amount of rebound as well. I play pretty hard on my set and it hasen't broken or come close to it so it's pretty durable as well. No problems. I don't have a back up and i don't think i need to.
Value
Other then the cymbals WONDERFUL set! Definitly worth the money. Its a good set and deserves some serious points.
Manufacturer Support
i haven't had to deal with them yet. The sets fine.
The Wow Factor
I love playing the drums so automatically i think it's amazing to be able to walk into my room and see it there. I don't think there is a cheaper set that has this much quality and ease to it. I shopped for one for a long time. It rocks.

"best drum deal ever!!!"
For the rest of my life, lookout people this is gonna be my rookie kit when im the next lars ulrich!! it will be priceless
Sound
the shells are all very good for the price. but the heads are craptacular. i replaced all the toms and bass with reno pinstripe heads. i didnt like the snare so i threw it out all together. i got a yamaha snare with a reverse dot CS batter head on it.and for the resonant heads i got all remo ebony ambassadors. i also put 14" sabian hi hats, 20" sabian ride, 18" and 16" crashes. Now it sounds fantastic. im am in a band and i always get remarks on what a fabulous set it is. so with about $300 dollars more on the kit ($600 total) you can get an excellent kit for about 60% of the price of a well known brand drum kit.
Value
absolutely fabulous

"Best drum set for the price but in need for a few alterations."
This was my very first drum set. It is a great setup for the beginning drummer. It includes two rack toms, a floor tom, a 22" bass drum, a 14" snare drum, a drum throne, a pair of drum sticks, a drum key for tuning, a 16" crash/ride cymbal, and a 14" high hat all with required stands. If you have been drumming for a while or just want a better quality sound I would advise throwing out both of the cymbals and buying Zildjian or Sabian cymbals (high hat, at least one 16" crash, and a 20" ride). All of the heads that come with this set are terrible. I bought Evans two ply heads for all of the drums, except the bass drum I got an Emad, and Evans resonate heads for the bottoms of the drums. The price for this set is very reasonable and your best bet if you are a beginner or not sure that drums are for you. At first the sound quality of these drums are not the best, but once you change out the heads and get new cymbals it has a very respectable sound at a much more generous price than those of competitors.
The shells are made up of some type of Chinese wood nothing compared to maple, but once again if you change the heads you can get a much better tone out of it and it is much cheaper than maple or other types of wood. The shells are also coated with a dark tinted plastic material therefore causing a somewhat distorted sound, but the sound after the upgrades is still great compared to the price. In the end, all of the upgrades and the initial cost results in hundreds of dollars cheaper than those of competition. I hope this helps in making your decision on which drum kit is best for you.
Features
The best drum pedal comes loose very easy and the bolt for the top high hat comes loose also but all of the other features are great.

Sound
I have been playing the drums for almost eight years now so i have a pretty good ear for drums. This is a pretty impressive drumset especially at this price. The snare rings but can be easily fixed. The toms are also a little ringy but once again with plastic rings or other dampeners it is easily fixed. The hardware and the throne are fine... no complaints. Cymbals do leave alot to be desired but can work until a better set can be aquired.

Features
For the price the features are great. I would reccommend buying new and more cymbals. These cymbals are awfully thin and i guess its just a matter of preference. "Oh yeah!"
Overall, this kit is awesome, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great drum kit without emptying your wallet.
Sound
The kit gives a great sound quality, its nice and loud, and with a little fine tuning it sounds like a professional drum kit.
Features
There are only 2 downsides. The Boom Cymbal stand is really light, and if you really wail on it it will fall over. Also, the cymbals invert within 1 month of playing them, but they do give you something to hit until you get real cymbals.
Also, the Crash Ride is kind of lame so you will probably want to purchase another boom stand and ordinary crash and ride cymbals.
Quality
This kit is extremely high quality! Im amazed!
Value
This kit is worth every penny of its purchase, maybe even more.
The Wow Factor
