The recorder does a great job of capturing quality audio for the money. I'm using it to record ambient nature sounds for backgrounds on music tracks. I found it to be fairly straightforward, simple to operate and was able to make great recordings after a few attempts. Set the input audio level and you're good to go. It comes with a printed manual, which I really appreciate. I wish more companies would get back to supplying them. The results sound great when imported into my recording interface and played through studio monitors and headphones. I don't hear any noise from the recorder and the built-in microphones work well. The cons: The built in speaker isn't very good and it doesn't come with an AC adapter, batteries or SD card.

Been trying to use this thing since I bought it. I put eight wave files on here so that I can go drive over to another city and sit in the cemetery and do my vocals into it, because I'm stuck living in an apartment. I take the recorded vocal .wav files and put them on to Studio One over my recorded album.Problem is I put 12 songs into the folder and then when I go to retrieve them, they are no longer there. Or there are only four of 12 songs there. This menu back and forth and the spinning the dial with your thumb absolutely sucks. Trying to spell out the name of a song/project manually takes you about 35 minutes.But this is about the 10th time I've thought I fixed it and everything's working fine and then I come over here to do vocals and all of a sudden I have files missing. I can't tell if there are projects in folders or folders in projects. I've checked every folder and every project and I can't find a bunch of songs that I put into the folder on my PC. I don't know what's up with this thing but I hate it. I wish I would have never bought it. I'm so upset right now with this device I'm about ready to bounce it off a concrete road on the way home. If that tells you anything. I'll just have to find another way to record vocals.

Imagine two ok mics attached to something like a cell phone cerca 1994. If you buy this I guarantee you will have a whole new appreciation for your smart phone. Honestly, I don’t know how the people who work at this company sell this stuff and maintain a clear conscience. Maybe they have no clue electronics have changed since 2007. Definitely buy this product if you love looking at a manual to figure out which combination of buttons to press to do basic functions, or if you love SD cards, and buying said cards and chargers that these scumbags can’t include w/ your product that is worthless without them.
