I have a couple of drum sets. I might consider a pair for the studio. Would definitely replace these with same if I had to.
Sound
I play at different sound volumes and found other HH cymbals either not responsive enough at low volume or not crisp at high volume. These cymbals give me the sound I want through the whole range. I get a greater tonal range out of my A Custom Mastersound, but on balance these are better. I play mostly funk, blues, and rock. Cymbals are responsive to sticks, rods, and brushes. Have not tried recording yet, but expect they will work fine for most songs.
Features
The hybrid construction gives darker tones with high volume and bright tones at low volume.
Ease of Use
They sound good for the style I play. I am finding new sounds as I go. Nice to have equipment that enables me to expand my style.
Quality
These are well made and look good. I use them with my gig set.
Value
Cymbals are way expensive. That said, these are appropriately priced within the quality range of other products.
The Wow Factor
Had my eye on these since trying them in a local drum shop. I knew I wanted the sound if and when I could afford it. I think they command a certain amount of respect from other drummers.
