For purposes of getting the "idea" of drumming - this is a very good product. Kids have enjoyed experimenting with it...a lot.
Sound
For this product, I think that the sound is pretty good. It's hard to have top notch sound with a portable piece of equipment at this price.
Features
For learning purposes, I think this product has great features. It gives the learner the opportunity to hear/play different combinations of drums. The ability to plug in an iPod is a nice feature.
Ease of Use
Pretty easy to use. Takes some getting used to which settings play which sounds - but all-in-all fairly easy.
Quality
Appears to be of very good quality for a beginner intrument.
Value
Competetive pricing and zzounds is willing to beat the competitor.
Manufacturer Support
I had trouble with the headset that came with the unit. Support quickly offered to replace the headset (shipped next day), and pick up shipping for the returned/defective item.
The Wow Factor
Practical for a compact item. If I could change the design, I would make the pads bigger.

"fantastic"
I have played drums most of my life and at 65 that is alot of drums. I had never really even given digital drums a chance until now. Boy have I missed out. The sounds are fantastic and if you close your eyes you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between acoustic and digital. I thought something so inexpensive could souind that great. Again, boy was I wrong. You can't go wrong with this kit. It has great rythms to play along with or you can play you own music thru the input. You want regret it. It is alot of fun.

This pad is perfect for my college bound teenager. 4 assignable pads with a huge number of preset kits. Also an input for a kick pedal. It's a perfect practice set. A lot of fun to fool around with too.

I purchased this digital drum kit for my as a gift for my 12yr old grandson who is in his first year of band. He has throughly enjoyed having his "at home practice drums" so that he doesn't have to lug his drum home from school on the bus daily. The sound is great and offers him so many options. One of the best gifts I have ever given him! I have already recommended them to my sister-in-law for her grandson.

Bought this from their "Blemished" inventory. Was pleasantly surprised to find I could not tell this was not a brand new item. My granddaughter was thrilled with it. It arrived on time and I would definitely buy from this company again.
