"Call it the BEAST!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
With the expandability of this board I plan on having it for years to come....
Sound
Best sounds on the market hands down!!
Quality
Product is well made and the key action is superb for a synth action keyboard. (keys have a slight bit of resistance) The action feels great!
Value
All in all it's the best rig you can buy at this price. Will beat the Roland Fantom and Korg Triton anyday!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to deal with support!
The Wow Factor
The ES7 is an absolutely beautiful piece of machinery. I had to have this board and when I got it it made the starting lineup of my gig rig as well!

"Best keyboard for any application/style."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Best keyboard out there so far.
Sound
This is High Definition sound if ever I've heard it. I used to own a Korg Triton Studio, but think the sounds in the Yamaha Motif ES7 are better quality and higher definition. The Korg's TouchView screen was nice, but I'll take the better quality sounds of the Motif ovwer the TouchView screen, although it would be nice if Yamaha incorporated a TouchView screen on their future models. Once you get to know the Motif inside out, it's a breeze and is capable of so many things that I initially didn't know about. It's the PERFECT anchor keyboard for any home or major studio. Besides, with the AIEB2 installed, it is great to record those individual outputs to a main recording console. I doubt if I ever go back to Korg, but might, just to have the flexibility of having different sounds. I haven't seen the Korg Oasys in person yet, but I am in the hopes that Yamaha will release a keyboard to compete with the Korg Oasys, as I'd probably buy the Yamaha over the Korg. I used to be a BIG Korg fan, until they started discontinuing all their products (e.g., Trinity, Triton Studio, MS2000).
Features
Great features, not to mention sliders operate on organ patches at tone bars. Drum Kits are the BEST. Sounds like I've got my own personal drummer. Great authentic acoustic sounds, guitar, bass, horns, drums, percussion, ethnic kits, etc. You wouldn't know these instruments weren't the real thing. They really come out in the mix as sounding like the true and authentic instruments (I believe many are multisamples and thus the reason). The perfect keyboard for the home recordist. Very professional-sounding.
Ease of Use
Once you get it down, it comes as second nature and very easy.
Quality
A beautiful looking keyboard too, love the angles.
Value
Can't get any better for the price. Excellent professional quality keyboard at an affordable price.
Manufacturer Support
Good, but I'm waiting for an update for the SQ-01 sequencing software so I can run the program with Windows Vista. Only problem so far.
The Wow Factor
I love the look, the feel, the sounds! The way it makes--me--feeeelll!!!

"its ok but more isnt better trust me!"

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Ill give it a seven, but im more of a visual person. if i had the choice again i would of bought the fantom, because of the interface. I know the sound is not the same quality but the only ones that will care are other producers , but the public wont care about the difference.
Sound
The sound quality is great, is better that the other two.
Features
It does feature great things like the intergrated sampling , and the appregiator.
Quality
Quality is excellant!
Value
Again i was sad to learn you can do exactley the same things on fruity loops that you can do with the motif es. If i had it to do again i would of bought soft syths instead.
Manufacturer Support
I dont know i havent used it.
The Wow Factor
i wouldn't buy it again.

Sound
A great way to start up into the music Industry if you do not play any other instrument's and you want a vast variety without the hassel of a group then this product is the one to choose, It has a great synth engine that emulates a lot of sound's and great drum kit.
