I am a devoted user of Yamaha hardware. There is nothing better for durability and stability. I have been using the 700 series stands for years with never a problem...except one maybe; the stands are kind of heavy. I dealt with it because I valued the confidence I enjoyed using the stands, but when I saw the Crosstown series I was intrigued. I took some time switching over, but now that I have I am over the moon. I knew these were light, but not this light. Amazing. However, I feel the same sense of superior construction I felt on my other, heavier stands. I do wish the HH stand (pull rod tension) was adjustable, but that would mean extra weight, so I'm good. My jazz band works a lot and I don't want to have to deal with entirely too heavy hardware cases. The Yamaha Crosstown hardware perfectly fits my needs, Im sure it will for you as well.
