OK, this review is really going to help you understand this mixer, so read it in it’s entirety. I first want to thank the staff at zZounds. They really care about musicians and work very hard to get great talent the gear they need on a variety of payment plans. There are other companies that do offer that but zZounds over extends themselves because they believe in your gift, so treat them with respect. OK, this powered mixer is fantastic and I have owned many in the last 50 years. Who ever designed this unit had one thing in mind. Good sound and versatility. If you are a solo, duo or trio, this is the unit you want. Plenty of power. Here is the thing. There is actually 3 different sections that offer EQ. You have a 3 band parametric on each channel which is very musical, great mid sweep. EQ your mic first, get a level and EQ it dry. Don’t run to the speaker processor yet, instead go to the master EQ section and continue to go through the frequencies that refine your vocal signal. Then plug in your keyboards or guitar, iPad etc. play a sound track on your iPad through the system and EQ the audio on that channel. Don’t touch the master EQ. Add effects and sing along with that first, then go to the speaker processor and begin to Switch through the different settings. Keep in mind every time you change the processor setting you are altering the sound because each processor has its own EQ setting and that may interfere with the 9 band graphic you previously set up. As you are going through them you will here the EQ change. Here is what the designers had in mind. They gave you the option to just use the EQ on the main output with bass boost or scroll through there processor menu to find a finalized effect that may work for your music no matter what speakers you are using. I found a great combination. I use Ev zx1’s with a sub. These speakers love this unit. Over all let’s see how it holds up, sounds fantastic. Purchase it right here at zZounds, you will not be disappointed.
