I bought this for some stage use (church), but also for use in my home studio. It can be used for VST control as well but I've decided lately I'd rather find a good sound for music production and just record it and move on. This give you many great sounds and the editing is so easy on the fly with the tactile controls. The ergonomics and controls really are great on this keyboard. I'm not a professional piano player by any means, but I personally love the keybed. It's a great balance between heavy enough for comfortable piano playing but also enough bounce back and fluidity for synth sounds. If you want a very heavy hammer action this isn't it but with the excellent piano sounds tailored to the action it feels and sounds very natural to me. For the price especially I don't think there's a better option on the market.
