I am a fairly credible engineer and artist with over a decade worth of experience dabbling in the industry. The WA8000 is now my go-to mic. I rarely post reviews on products but this mic deserves it. I ordered and when it came, I noticed, the 7 pin xrl did not push all the way in nor give an audible click when connected to the mic. The mic had a white noise wooshing sound (like a bad tube), and I was disappointed at WA's quality control. zZounds came to save the day and shipped me a replacement -delivered well within 24 hrs! After a week of burn in, this mic became my favorite in my collection! I've had or still have a Manley Ref C, Chandler TG, Miktek CV4, Lewitt LCT 940, JZ BH2, Neumann TLM 103, Stam Audio SA-87 (Exact remake of the Nuemann U87), and Aston Origin amongst others. The WA8000 produces that industry standard sparkle we are used to hearing on trap and pop songs today. I was able to simplify my vocal chains after getting this mic. It doesn't need much. And I have not found it to be sibilant at all (as some have). Just let it warm up a good 2 hours before a session and it's magic. It's a perfect compliment to my Stam Audio 87! The Sony C800g and the Neumann u87 are like yin and yang in a studio. Together, they cover all bases. I've included a song tracked with the WA8000 below. More to come on that soundcloud from the WA8000. https://soundcloud.com/user-930263225/monster-jtkproduced-by-katanobeat

I had my fair share of warm audio mics and products, my favorite mic thus far was the wa251 which to me was the best mic warm made. I liked their other mics as well that's why I purchased them in the past, but this wa8k is by far my favorite mic from warm.

Using this mic for my vocals in the rap/hip hop genre. I have a deep voice so the way this records my vocals makes it sound perfect to my ears. Very easy to fit in the mix with less processing and I love the overall sound of it. This one is a permanent stay.
