I had the Plexi Drive Deluxe, I ended up selling it and regretting selling it, so I picked up the Mini version and it has the same awesome tone, it's a big beefy tone it has to be used with a tube amp- as previously stated in another review, it probably does sound fizzy using solid-state amplifier, but with tube amps, you're going to love it, humbucker, single coil, they both sound great!

"Ok Pedal"

This pedal is ok. I am running it through a flat response Electro Harmonix 44 pedal power amp. This pedal is very well built. that said it is not and will not respond at all like a tube plexi. It doesn't have any real harmonics or sizzle and like most solid state it gets quite ice picky as you turn the volume up. I bought it to run though a pedal power amp to downsize, but i guess tube warmth and harmonics just cannot be replicated by transistors or digital. If you are running it through a tube amp you may get better results.
