First off, I own a Fender Blues Jr with Celestion Greenback and also the Vox Mini 3. I had been using my Fender for gigs and the mini3 for practice. I'm currently playing in 2 musicals and also doing stuff at church and honestly, I was getting so tired of lugging around the heavy Fender and ALL my guitar pedals. It was equating to 60 lbs total. And with these gigs I'm having to lug this equipment out at EVERY performance to prevent theft. So, I had to do something different. Also, doing the musical Hairspray, I have to switch effects at the drop of a hat and in between measures. So, I chose this because of the 8 channel presets. I'm absolutely loving it! It has a great balance of tubiness and solid state. Actually for the better I think. Nice bass and treble response. It's just a great amp and being able to adjust the power level for rehearsals is huge. I mainly use the clean setting with effects to model my blues Jr. It's plenty loud for my situations. Planning to keep the power level low and mic for the musicals. For my needs it's absolutely perfect!

So far it has been a good little amp/ Not used to the programming yet. I have the 8 preset foot switch . Might be a tad quiet for small gigs. Used it once on a small gig and it had pretty good projection

I always wanted a Vox and now I have one. Great little practice amp, haven't used it in a band situation, could be ok for a small, coffee house gig. All the modeling and fx are cool, but for me I dialed up a few basic settings and use it that way with my pedal board.
