"Big things come in small packages."
Love it. Its so small it takes 1 slot in my rack now but still offers a great sound when I want it. It goes with me everywhere.
Sound
This amp's best sound is not with it's own speaker, it is designed to use an external speaker and a recording line out. It's sound for both of those things is unreal for $200. I hook it up to a Marshall cabinet and it can get quite loud, but most importantly, it sounds like the expensive Brian May combo AC30 but cost a lot less money.
Features
It has recording line outs, and external outs and the sound to make it worth using.
Ease of Use
It has 3 knobs gain, tone, volume; and a push button for clean or distorted. It has four jacks, all clearly labeled.
Quality
You get what you pay for, it's cheap so it's own speaker isn't amazing, but for a little 10 watt amp its one of the best I have seen. Besides, the real quality is in the electronics not its case.
Value
This for $200 + a Marshall 4X12 cab for $279 = a whole lot less money than the Brian may combo. If I needed to replace this I would go as high as $400, then other solutions would become more cost effective. But I got to admit, I fell in love with this sound after playing with it, I might go as high as it takes to replace.
Manufacturer Support
Vox is a great company. They are honorable are very helpful when dealing with issues.
The Wow Factor
I gutted my little Brian May, which was done easily, replaced the transformer with a more powerful one, and put it in a rack. I got it a new faceplate and knobs. I gave it a bypass pedal that lets me replace a Marshall head. Its fun to have a different sound to play with once in a while. For the price, I never expected this to be as useful as it has become, I love it.

"Yes, this will do it for you!"
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
There really isn't another product likely to come along that would compare.
Sound
I use my Guild Brian May guitars through numrous amps - vintage tweed Fender, vintage Selmer, Dean Markley Signature (tube 60w). BUT when you want to sound like Brian - especially buiding up that incredible 'orchestration' layered sound with multi-tracking, nothing else comes close. It sounds very 'big' for such a tiny amp.
Features
I love the flexibility of being able to drive another amp for another completely different sound and having a recording output. This is NOT an amp for playing clean jazz through, so don't look for THAT kind of flexibility! For what it does, though, it has the features I need.
Quality
To some degree this is made down to a price, but not to the degree of affecting reliability - at least so far, after a year's fairly hard use. Fit and finish on some of the trim is not up to AC30 standards, but neither is the price!
Value
I think it's superb value for money.
Manufacturer Support
One of my amps didn't have a manual, and I was referred to a website to download one. Effective for documentation, but I would have preferred a factory printed manual.
The Wow Factor
If this amp was taken, I'd immediately replace it.

Vox Brian May Special Amp Customer Review
Sound
The sound is warm and rich but doesnt sound like brian may live. If thats the sound you want just find a decent pedal. This amp is not very loud and the speakers are a bit dodgey. I wanted my les paul to sound like brian may so i bought this amp. Try and guess what? It was a waste of money.
Features
The tone was of a good variaty but the volume was no good. My speakers blew within 2 months and they were very hard to replace.
The gold VOX logo has also began to ware slightly.

"Really hot looking... not so greatly built"
I already replaced it witha Behringer. Which seems to have alot more settings and you can get more diverse sounds out of it.
Sound
I love the sound. It can be bright and it can be raunchy.
Features
Simple, I don't like tons of knobs. You can get alot of different combinations with very few adjustments. But the speakers are crap. Mine blew within 2 weeks of buying it and I never turned it up all the way
Quality
My speaker blew and had to be replaced and then the input jack.
Value
You can get a decent 15 watt for 80... this is 10 and 150? Something isnt adding up.
Manufacturer Support
Would of been better if I hadn't thrown away the receit
The Wow Factor
It's really nice looking. All white with the brown cover and golden Vox. The only reason I bought instead of a 15 watt Fender.
