I have a Fender Level 12 as my main power supply for my pedals. But I bought more pedals and needed 5 more ports. So I bought this knowing it would take care of my needs and leave me a few extra as well. Not only did it do the job, it is dead quiet. It not only added 5 pedals to make my board a whopping 17 pedals, but it even cut down on the EXISTING noise floor I had before adding the new pedals! It is tiny, thin, compact and DEAD quiet. And each port has a 500 ma maximum, so you never have to worry that you have enough power, or whether you'll hurt any of your pedals. I think this is the best unit out there and it's a perfect price point. Buy this unit and end all your worrying!

Was either getting a X8 or X4 to expand my PP3+. Decided on the X8 for the extra outputs if I ever wanted to add even more pedals. No regrets. The X8 is about half the size of my PP3+ which is awesome and very convenient. Very slim and fits under my pedalboard with ease. My PP3+ is using all 12 outputs with an another 4 being used on the X8. I'm using 2 voltage doublers to run a couple pedals on 18v. No extra noise and no worries about whether my pedals are getting enough power. X8 can also be wall powered with the included power strip to use as a standalone power supply if you're not using it as an expander. Great product by Voodoo Lab and I definitely recommend if you're looking into a power supply.

I bought this to power a small board with an HX Stomp and a few other pedals, well this little beast is up to the task, when you use it with the correct current doubler cable (also from Voodoo Lab) it powers the HX Stomp perfectly, I've gigged with it a lot, in all conditions, and it has been solid as a rock, so if you're hunting for a low profile power supply that'll fit under tiny boards AND power the HX Stomp...this is your guy.
