"Awesome features, very sexy, lots of media could be used, BUT the video was undependable."

Sound
The sound quality was fine when it worked. We purchased this unit for professional use and had horrible problems with it being unable to deliver a reliable video signal. After replacing the unit under warranty, we gave up on this model and went to the 888kII (VocoPro) which works fine even though it has fewer features.
Features
Awesome features, it could have been a great professional platform if it could handle club use and deliver video.
Ease of Use
It was easy to set up and use, no issues there.
Quality
We have to believe that it was poorly manufactured. It had great features, the unit simply wasn't reliable.
Manufacturer Support
Support was good, we were able to exchange one unit and return the second one for credit on the 888KII.
The Wow Factor
Very "sexy", has awesome features for the professional KJ, except of course that it isn't dependable.

I have been a DJ for over 35 yrs. I have been doing a mobile DJ business for almost as long. I started getting request to do Karaoke so had bought a Numark and used it for about 4 or 5 yrs. till one side played out Got this Voco Pro as it's replacement after using it 5 times over a one yr. period I am having to put in shop as the right deck will not read. I am very unhappy with it's preformance and reliabilty.Warranty ran out now I pay out of my pocket.

I've owned 2 of these and found them to be completely unreliable, Often you have to restart a disc several times before it will read it. Additionally, the slide to change the key has a mind of it's own, changing in the middle of the tune. I also found that the manufacturer was unresponsive to all calls or e-mails.

It is an exact replacement for another VocoPro CDG-8900 PRO Dual CD/CD+G Player. Unfortunately I'm having similar malfunctions that I had with the old one. It doesn't consistantly "read" the CDG discs. I have to stop the player, eject the disc and turn it in the tray, sometimes several times. Also the left side player keeps locking up part way through the song, which is embarrassing, to say the least.
