As a professional DJ, I've heard about the V-Moda headphones for years. I'm not a brand loyalist, but I usually stick to what works best for my setup in terms of accessories. For the past 20 years, I've solely used Sony MDR-7506 and Pioneer HDJ-2000 Pro MK1 headphones. However, the Sony pair began to short out, so I needed another pair to always have a backup available.I chose the V-Moda Crossfade M100 Master after years of hearing positive feedback. They sound better than the two listed previously. The build quality appears to be durable and should last. The only drawback to these headphones is their ear pads. After 30 minutes, they became uncomfortable on my ears. I recently ordered a pair of aftermarket pads that are larger and feature wider foam. If these new pads work out, I will claim to have the perfect pair of cans for my needs.Last thing, it looks like the service of getting customized shields painted or engraved for the headphone plates has been discontinued. However, that's not a big deal breaker.

"Awesome sound but poor build quality"

In short these do sound awesome but are not built to last as they say. Mine lasted 1yr 4months before the plastic clip craked holding the headband to the earphones....buyer beware.
Sound
The sound of the cans are awesome.
Features
The build quality is awful. The weakest part of the design are the plastic bases which connect the head band to the headphones. The left side broke in 1yr 4months.
Quality
The prduct is not made well and is not worth the money. Many V-modo ownsers have had this issue with this model M100 Master.
Value
This is not worth the money with the poor build quality and I cannot recommend these cans to anyone.
Manufacturer Support
I have reached out to Vmoda and will update this review on how they choose to handle my complaint.
