I’ve been playing this for a few weeks and love it more and more, every time I play it. I’m not really sure what to compare it to, but I’ll try. It has the punchiness of a 6505 with the chewiness of a Friedman BE (I own all three). It’s a very articulate amp and will amplify any sloppy playing. I’m using a Helix to switch channels. The midi programming is so easy it’s almost comical. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was the gain 1 channel. I thought it would function as a three channel amp as the channel 1 OD can be toggled off/on. Since they share a gain knob, that isn’t practical. In other words, this amp will offer a brilliant clean tone and an amazing channel 2 gain tone or it’ll give you two amazing gain tones. You can’t have all three without turning knobs. I’m very impressed with the sound J get at low volume. Of course this can get loud, very loud. It also has a very nice tone at low low volumes. When turned down, it doesn’t get fizzy or sound like a cheap radio as most amps tend to do. Overall, I’m impressed with the sound and functionality of this amp. 2K is a lot of money, but compared to other amps in this price range, it’s well worth it.

Took a chance and glad I did…while there are a couple minor features I wouldn’t mind having, this thing performs in a small package . Great clean channel, hot rod JCM like tones from gain one, gain 2 is difficult to describe other than fantastic...fire breathing tone that seems to have elements of many amps with some minor tweaking. Definitely American sounding ..think 5150 meets Boogie maybe? Idk..but very tight ,clear ,articulate sound. Well worth checking out!

I bought this well over a year ago, since then I’ve taken time to see which of my guitars sounds the best and reacts more favorably towards this amp,I’ve gotta say this thing LOVES humbucker equipped guitars. Don’t get me wrong, every guitar sounds great plugged into it, but my Les Paul with Bare Knuckle pickups seems to be the magic combination. The 30 watt setting is plenty convenient for not pissing off the neighborhood and sounds stellar in its own right, letting you get the EQ setting and foot switches how you want them, but full 100 watt power is where she shines. It’s a totally different beast, unlimited headroom and transparent cleans and the distortion is to die for. I have the eqs all set at 12 o’clock and haven’t messed with them, no need to.In my eyes and to my ears this is just as good as a Soldano ,at half the price. More versatile, midi capable,1/3 power attenuation, great cleans, insane distortion, both of the JCM and the Djent/Death metal variety, and it even looks cool. The only drawback is no reverb, but honestly in all my years I’ve VERY rarely ever used it onstage, and in the studio everyone uses outboard effects gear anyways. Definitely worth more than the asking price.
