"The work horse of Mixers"
I'm sure one day I'll upgrade to a RANE or Scratch Box, but this is a very comperable back up mixer.
Sound
This is a very good scracthc mixer, the sound is good. This is an good choice for the intermediate DJ or house DJ. The thing that is lacking is a 3 band eq (it only has 2). the faders are smooth and meets the basic needs of any scratch DJ. The up faders can be adjusted curve wise but you have to take them out of the mixer and switch the curve from the inside, this can be difficult and frustrating trying to find the curve you would like to use as you can't put the faders back in until you've found the seeting you like. Other than that is a good mixer. It's kind of like the SL 1200, nothing fancy it just works and is very dependable. It looks quite nice sitting between a set of Technics SL1200 decks.
Features
It's a very basic mixer. No bells and whistles here, but it will serve you well.
Ease of Use
Simply plug in and start mixing. very easy to use. The learning curve is very easy and you should have no issues using it right out of the box.
Quality
This is a very well built mixer. Brushed steel top and just looks nice. This is a very dependable mixer, no worries with it. Vestax makes quality equipment. Provided you care for this mixer it should last you years.
Value
For the price it's decent, however for similar pricing you can go get the new Stanton mixer which is very impressive with built in effects.
Manufacturer Support
I have never had to contact Vestax. But if the support is anything like the product, I would rate it an 8.
The Wow Factor
It's not that "Sexy" looking really. But it is a good mixer.
