"ts70b collar breaks"

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Plastic tripod collar broke after a few months of light use.Used with keyboard amp. Phoned Ultimate -no warranty on this item despite claim of warranty -no part available for me to repair either. I use a wormgear clamp to hold plastic together but cannot adjust tightness without a 1/4" socket! I replaced with another make for gigs, with steel, not plastic parts. Will not buy another product from this company that supplies no backup, despite claiming a warranty. They told me it was made in China and that no parts were available.

"A low-priced good value speaker stand that can handle heavy amplified speakers and will last a long time if treated carefully."

An easy improvement would be the addition of extra drilled holes so more different heights could be selected with the added security of the cotter pin. Without the pin, the height options are infinite, but with the pin there are only two heights, plus the bottom of the tube.
Features
Seems strong, but there is some movement. However if there were nit it might be too heavy.
Quality
I will be careful not to over-tighten it. I think that someone using too much force could strip the threads and destroy the item.
The Wow Factor
Looks good.

Musical Background:

Back after a long break. Former professional.

Musical Style:

Jazz and Fusion, nothing easy or pleasant.
