This pedal sounds great as a preamp running through my tube amplifier's FX return. Some may not realize that this pedal reacts just like the real amp so if you push the gain to high it will flub out but once dialed in it sounds truly amazing both clean and overdriven. It takes other pedals very well, I use a Tube Screamer to tighten up the bass when overdriven (just like a real tube amp). Once you know what you have and how to manipulate it, you will be blown away. The spring reverb is top notch and very realistic and although I have never cared for amp tremolo I find this feature very pleasing to the ears. The build is solid and I would say it is the best pedal purchase I have made in a long time, well worth the money especially now that it is on sale. Don't let any negative reviews or returned units mislead you, this is an excellent piece of gear that just takes a little bit of effort and familiarizing to get truly fantastic results.

Used in 1 live performance and stopped working within 2 weeks of purchase. Was hoping for an exchange but was told “they’re spoken for”. Good luck to those who have them coming. Hope you have better luck with yours than I did with mine. Now I’m waiting on a refund.
