I bought 2 of these for live sound and DJ purposes. I like my low end thump, these will bring the thump! I was really shocked. I thought 600 watts peak (450 watts rms) , what could that really do? It keep a party rocking from 10 am to 6 pm with no distortion and no clipping! And had my volume up on the sub at “0 dB”. I have the Turbosound Inspire is 300s for tops.....wow! They have a lot dps processing but one thing I didn’t see was a internal crossover for powered speakers...just for passive satellites. It not a deal breaker. With this system (After my test) you can easy be heard in a crowd of 300 people. I used a Behringer AR12 Air mixer and Denon MK I controller and was blown away. You could feel the bass so clean deep and crisp. It also very light weight and built very tough. This is quality gear and I’m looking to get 2 of the ip12bs and 2 more ip 300s. This sub doesn’t get a lot credit and not a lot of reviews, but it has it were it counts. Deep chest pounding bass. As for the powering of passive speakers...I’ve not tested that. I will soon. For this price point get a pair and try it out. No wonder they are always out of stock...hmmmmm. Got yours!

The sound from these units is very clean, no distortion what so ever even at high volume. The bass is very punchy for dance tracks. It also can get very low. The power rating on these subs might throw you off as it may seem low compared to some gear thats out here but trust me, this sub will rock 200 people easily..I bought two and use them with 12" peavey tops and it is plenty for mobile gigs. These subs are also very light but built like tanks. They are made to last. I cant speak for how they sound with live bands but for recorded music it cant be beat for the money. The DSP keeps you sounding clean the whole night. I am confident this is the last puchase I will have to make for a while and recomend this sub to any DJ that is on a tight budget but wants great quaily and sound.

Great system idea, love the separate amps for satellite speakers. I purchased this as well as 2 ip82's. You hit the limiter for the satellites waayyyy before i think you'd damage the speaker. But of course, thats at a rather loud level. My biggest frustration is the inability to put the system in any kind of real time alignment. Having 180° of out phase wasnt quite enough. Any true sound guy or musician should understand the role this plays. Its a super simple rig, which is awesome but having a better way to time align or at least some routing options for the inputs (Input A to Sub and Input B for Satellites) for the use of external gear for time alignment (not x/over) would seem appropriate. Now looking at spending another few hundred on an amp for the satellites so I can delay them to the sub. So why did I buy a sub with the extra amps? Seems like a waste. Might return for this reason. My experience with zZounds has been great.

I have been around musicians since day 1, but a sound guy since I was 14. Not the best, but rather knowledgeable.
