Permanent addition to the arsenal. Out of (possible) 100 or more dirt boxes..It comes down to these 4... Marshall Shredmaster, T-Rex Tonebug Distortion, Analogman modded MT-2 and the cheaper than cheap sleeper, the Washburn "Soloist Distortion" (Yup!.. I LOVE it) I'm always on the prowl but this is a keeper fo sho!
Sound
If you like the Marshall Shredmaster...Then this is the next best thing. I have tried them all! As close to a Shredmaster as you're gonna get without shelling out $150-$200+. Sublime grind. Tight bottom, smooth mids and cutting highs. Outstanding pedal!
Features
Simple 3 knob job. Gain,Tone,Level. No "blinding" LED (Thank GOD!)
Ease of Use
Plug and play...If you know what you're doing then it's just a matter of a few minor twists of the knobbies! Obviously use a quality Tube amp.
Quality
Feels completely solid metal casing. Metal knobs. Nothing plastic or cheap about this pedal.
Value
Best $99.00 bucks I ever spent. Beats out the MI-Audio Crunch Box, anything Fulltone makes. Kills the Emma reezafrazitz, Pummels the Carl martin Crush Zone, etc, etc..I could go on and on....Forget Boss or EH. Grab this one.
Manufacturer Support
Can't say. Haven't had to contact them. Hope I won't have to.
The Wow Factor
Aesthetically, it's utilitarian. It has an "unassuming" presence. "Looks like a butterfly, Stings like a scorpion".. Make no mistake. This about the sound. Take the leap.

"TX blues and boogie pedal"

This pedal is good for that zz top TX high gain blues sound. Nice for lead for and rhythm blues strut parts. At the normal $99 price, I'd buy a TS-9 instead. At the sale price of $55 this pedal is a winner if you like the sound of it. There are some good internet reviews that show the high gain blues this pedal is good at. Build quality is good, but not quite Boss level. The metal case is thinner and the knobs and pots feel more delicate. It is definitely 'the sound' I was needing, so definitely a keeper. If it dies I will probably replace it with a TS-9.
