To be honest, I sent this pedal back but ONLY because I have a pedal that sounds just like it already. I spent some time with it though, I didn't want to give up on it that easily! First of all, it was a great looking pedal, it has class. I liked the dramatic orange color and the lack of distracting graphics. The "chicken head" like knobs were easy to use, looked good and were fairly tight. Great fuzz tone. To me it was similar to the Jam Red Muck and even similar to the DOD Big Pig (which is still my all time favorite fuzz pedal). I really like how quiet it was. Some pedals I have tried sound great but have a pronounced background hiss. I think this is how fuzz pedals emulate a overdriven amp but to me, it's just noise. I like a clean distortion and this pedal provides that. Also like how the input, output and power input were all on the top of the pedal. This is great for pedal geeks like me that have limited pedal board space. Con: It's a big pedal, takes up a lot of space. I'm sure this is not an issue for most people but for me pedal board real estate is an issue and I like keeping all my pedals on one board. I Overall? Thumbs up. Sweet pedal. Clean look and clean fuzz without a lot of garbage in the background. If I were to have just a single fuzz pedal on my board this would be the one.
