TC Electronic C300 Customer Review
Not something I would use as a serious recording or mastering tool, but for live sound, or a home studio, it doesn't get any better than this unit for the price.
Sound
This unit made all the difference in the world for my live sound. I use the SPDIF in from a Presonus Firestudio and the outs to a BBE 882i. I do live electronic PA, and it really helps keep the little nuances audible, and the sound punchy.
Features
I do miss having manual control, but the compression engine does its job nicely. The fact that it has multi-band compression on some modes makes this unit more capable than any other budget compressor.
Ease of Use
This unit makes getting a good sound child's play.
Quality
Feels sturdy enough, i just havent owned it very long.
Value
Its inexpensive and functional.
Manufacturer Support
haven't need it
The Wow Factor
If it dies, i would definitely buy another one, immediately.

"Good for budget"

Easy to use. Clear clean signal and sound. Great for drums and bass, but have not yet tried it with vocals. Preset selections make it a breeze, with few switch button adjustments to fine tune. Worth the price and a nice alternate to DBX if your on a budget. Components and inputs made well. Simple to understand manual.

"Worth its wait in silver!"
As I am concerned, this is a top compressor with excellent features, makes everything sound good comming out of my home studio. Can't think why I should replace it!
Sound
Instant gratification! Excellent compression with superb tailored presets for diffrent aplications. Preset patterns for vocals, keyboards, vocal etc. Each one does exactly what it says on the tin! Excellent gating. Works well with drum patterns. I use mine in stereo mode.
Features
Mixing the compressed signal with the dry signal! Cool!
The C300 is midi alsoequipped, which is always a good thing! Also spdif which is very handy, as a lot of work is done in the digital domain these days.
The only gripe I have with the C300 is the lack of a power switch but this is not too bad for me as the c300 runs from a built in power iec so I hook mine up straight to a ETA power conditioner. Apart from that its great!
Ease of Use
Dead easy. Simple control layout makes it a breeze to use.
Quality
Well built.. hey its TC Electronic. Enough said!
Value
For the price, the quality and features make this a superb value compressor. Ideal for any home/project studio.
Manufacturer Support
Never had to call them and I hope I never do!
The Wow Factor
