"Battery indicator not accurate"

I have used the Taylor Sense battery box for about 3 months now. I have relied on the battery life indicator to give me the assurance that I would make it through a set. Twice now I have lost battery power during a set. More than when I didn’t have the app! My battery will typically die when the app shows 65-70% battery life! I called Taylor to help figure out what is happening and they said that that was normal. So now I change my battery at 70%. The Taylor Sense instructions don’t mention this at all. They say change it at 10%. This is a major flaw in the app and should be changed. The battery indication was the main reason I bought the device and now I don’t feel much better off than before!

My 214ce DLX eats batteries faster than any acoustic/electric I’ve ever owned. If I get 5 shows out of a battery I’m doing very well, whereas the guitars I’ve owned prior, I could go 6 months on a battery. I thought this would be the answer, but sadly it doesn’t work like I thought it would. Taylor, what is the point of having a device that notifies me of a low battery if said device won’t connect to the app while the guitar is plugged in? Do I have to unplug my guitar between sets to check my battery level? How ridiculous. The humidity and impact monitor are neat, but for $80 I feel like you could’ve done better.
