I bought this guitar because the Takamine GD30CE that I bought at the end of 2017 was not giving me the professional results or sound that I was needed for my work. This guitar provided me exactly what I was looking for within a half hour of unpacking it. The neck is as close to perfect as can be expected, especially so for a guitar like this under $1000. The body has a marvelous resonance, and the setup is also near perfect. I regret not purchasing this before wasting my money on the Takamine which I am now selling.NOTE: I bought the Takamine based upon previous experience with owning their EF341C, which is made in Japan. The GD30CE is made in China, and the lack of quality shows. This guitar is made in Mexico, not China. So quality control is a lot easier to maintain.

Couldn't be happier with it. I just paid it off and looking forward to many years of enjoyment. It has an excellent bottom end and a rich high tone. Taylor continues to amaze and keep me going whether on-stage or just kicking it here at home.

After many hours of search and research. I picked up a Taylor 150e. Only had it 2 days but am very pleased. I started playing 39yrs ago and the first guitar I bought was a 12 string. Always loved the sound. I wanted a guitar that had that sparkle sound but the clarity of having some bottom end in there too. Taylor delivers. Best bang for the buck IMO. Play ability is fantastic. Sounds great plugged in or natural acoustic. Overall if you don't have 3 grand to spend but want a good guitar to fill the 12 string niche this is your guitar.

"Terrible Preamp"

The preamp on this guitar is terrible. I have yet to find a recordable tone from this instrument. The instrument itself is decent. Well set up out of the box, good intonation, and acceptable 12-string action. But if you plan on recording with this, you're going to have to mic it. I'll be selling this one soon. It is good for the price, but I'll be moving up to a Takamine EF381SC, which has a very nice preamp.
