This is a very high quality deck, I have been recording cassettes since the1970's. Just knowing it is from a well knows company like TASCAM/TEAC, was the key for me to purchase this unit, My CD burner is also a TEAC, model # CD-RW890. The two make a great pair. You will be surprised what a top of the line unit this is, it's not like the older ones, w/gears working off the control buttons, The only thing I wish it would do is, Have lights inside the cassette deptm. so one could see how close you are to the end of the tape, My older AKIE'S CS-M2 & CS-MO3, had this. which I've had since 1969/1970, they finally went out just last mo. I have to use a flash light to see how close I am to the end of the tape, There is no recording control form deck #1 to deck #2 while dubbing, wish it had that. I would give this unit a rating of 99.8 overall. Thanks TEAC/TASCAM for making such a great product.
