Received this guy recently and it's easily one of my favorite snares around the studio! tune it low for a big soulful sound or tune it higher and get a real prominent attack, either way it sounds fantastic live and on recording, it also looks super classy!

"Absolute Bargain"

I was skeptical when I ended up choosing this snare drum over the Tama SLP steel snare (also a 14x8) which was around $100 more. However, the poplar shell gives the snare a TON of body, and it works out really well for the church environment that I am in. A lower tuning alongside an HD Dry with some Puresound wires makes this thing sound 3x more than what it is worth and fulfills that big snare worship sound that I so desired. I would 100% recommend this snare for those looking for value and something that wouldn't break the bank.
