"Superb hi hat stand for very little"

This stand is worth probably twice as much as you'll pay for it. It's fast, durable, and lives up to all of Tama's standards. The tension adjustment is extremely useful if you play a variety of styles on a regular basis. Great, great buy. You won't be disappointed.
Sound
Not much really. It's a very quiet stand. Of course, keeping it lubed helps.
Features
Tension adjustment - 5 levels of tension affect how fast the top hat returns to the raised position. Hard right for fast hats, hard left for slow shimmers. Rotating base - The base tripod can spin, giving more room for another pedal right next to it. And that's it. Very useful for double bass and cowbells.
Ease of Use
Very easy. It's a hi hat stand, so, you know, it does that.
Quality
It's a Tama so you know it's not going to fall apart right out of the box. If you keep it clean and lubed, it will probably last forever.
Value
Great value. I haven't used many "fancy" hi hat stands, but this one blows all the similarly priced stands out of the water.
Manufacturer Support
No, I have not. However, I can't imagine it would be different than any other company. 5 stars only because I like Tama hardware.
The Wow Factor
Again, it's a hi hat stand. It's shiny, I suppose. It looks good sitting in the spot next to my left foot, where otherwise there would be nothing there.

Simple, stable, and reliable stand. Slightly shorter than my last stand, which makes it way easier to pack up (and still plenty tall enough).

Musical Background:

Actively gigging multi-instrumentalist (drums, keys, bass, and guitar)

Musical Style:

I just received this piece of gear today. First I have to say that the shipment time was incredibly fast. Today is Wednesday. I ordered it over a holiday weekend. It arrived within 1 business day from nearly 1000 miles away. I ordered this to better position my double pedal system. I was using a ludwig stand that did not have an adjustable/swivel pedal. Setup is much more comfortable now. The action is fast and smooth. Very well built. 2 minute assembly out of the box. Outstanding product! Plus $3 cheaper than Musicians Friend, Sweetwater, Guitar Center, and American Musical. For the money, this is a great deal. It does just what it says it will do and will last for years. This is my second one. The first one went with a kit that I sold. I always regretted letting the stand go with the kit.

Great hat stand for the money. Tama makes quality products. I have never had to use their support. It is a stand and functions quickly and flawlessly. I was required to select a rating for support and sound. Ignore those two. They don't apply.

Musical Background:

Main instrument drums, some guitar experience (very little)
