"Great Quality - Unbelievable Sound"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I see myself having this guitar for a long time. I plan on recording with it, as well as gigging with it. This guitar might be the keystone in my arsenal.
Sound
The sound of this guitar is flat out amazing. I mean it doesnt necessarily compare to a Martin D-40 or a Taylor 900 series guitar, but it doesnt have too. Those guitars are 3k a piece and this one barely breaks 600 and comes close to both of those sounds. Just slap some elixers on this thing and youll be amazed of the sounds that come out of this guitar.
Features
The features are all there. The Onboard EQ is very useful and the gold tuners hold it in tune and make a nice appealing touch.
Ease of Use
I bought this guitar based on the sound.. however when i bought it the action was so unbelievably high that i could slip my index finger inbetween the strings and the fretboard. AFTER i adjusted this.. the guitar plays like a dream. Moving up and down the neck has never been easier.
Quality
VERY WELL MADE GUITAR. The spruce top and Ovangkol back and sides are top of the line woods that really let your guitar sing. Unlike alot of Taylor guitars, this guitar feels very strong and i believe it will last me a long time.
Value
Sticker price is 900 dollars, the retail price is 630. After i traded my old acoustic in.. it only cost me 250 dollars. THATS A GREAT VALUE!
Manufacturer Support
havent dealt with teh company
The Wow Factor
Beautiful guitar. Gold tuners, Abalone Rosette.. very very appealing to the eye.

Takamine EG334SC Cutaway Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
easily comparible to $1500 gibson and guild. it is much better than the gibson that i had a while back. i have been playing a yamaha fg180 because it never changed. it is a little stiffer than what i am used to but... the pickup and pre are simple as hell and excellent. very elegant and simple battery module. i don't need lots of eq on the instrument cause amps and soundsystems seem to have lots of that these days. jack looks like it will last.
Features
beautiful but not perfect finish and wood. more expensive guitars look perfect. i detect laminatation in sides of body but i don't think that will hurt anything - i dont see my self having the neck reset anytime soon.

"If you have $1200 or less to spend, DON'T pass up this guitar...!"

Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I'd love to have a McPherson but shure can't afford the $4500 to get one...
Sound
Let's be real, this guitar sounds very good but if you rate it a 10 then you've never heard a McPherson, a high end Martin, Taylor, USA Breedlove, Avalon or etc. If you have this kind of money to spend then BUY IT. You won't be disipointed. The only thing you'll want to thoroughly check is the intonation. Especially with a capo. It took me 3 times to get it right. I did not buy from ZZounds...
Features
Great features. Not a 10 on Electronics but very good.
Quality
Again, this is a massed produced guitar. It's very good. I LOVE it..!
Value
You can get better guitars in every way but you have to spend WELL above a $1000.
Manufacturer Support
I bought a 2nd one (Black) for a ridiculously low price and had to take it in because the electronics didn't work. I knew this when I bought it but it still had a full warranty. It was repaired with absolutely no hassles. It was the end piece...
The Wow Factor
I have 2. 1 Natural and 1 Black....

"Awesome guitar, great tone, looks, playability and value!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Expect to be playing this guitar for a long time and getting great enjoyment and satisfaction from it.
Sound
The sound is rich and warm plugged or unplugged. I have an Ibanez Troubadour TA-25 Acoustic amp and it sounds awesome when played through it.
Features
EQ provides good control for customization of sound. Beautiful finish and overall look.
Quality
Fit and finish are excellent. Very solid.
Value
I looked at just about everything in this price range and found this to be the best value overall. Has the tone and playability of more expensive Martin's and Taylor's.

The Wow Factor
Great look and sound. Best purchase I've made in a long time. Totally satisfied in every aspect.

Takamine EG334SC Cutaway Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
for a great guitar that your grandkids can play concerts with and still sound good with, this one beats all competition for the price.
Sound
this guitar has amazing sound, much better than my cruddy washburn lyon, i've had this guitar for about 3 months, and the pickups sound like gold. of course, i play on a 20 year old ibenez pratice acustic amp, so it sounds crappy through that, but hooked to a large sound system it will suprise you.
Features
The preamp is pertty cool, and the built in tuner is the most useful thing ever. the only problem i have is the tuning nobs are starting to crode.
Ease of Use
pertty much just plug it in and go, but you might want to get a good amp to play through, if its a bad 50 cent amp then its gonna sound like crap.
Quality
this thing is a tank, other than the plastic stuff going all around the edge of the guitar, the plastic dents pertty easily.
Value
for the price its great, i dont think you really need to spend $3000 on a acustic guitar, just for a small sound difference.
The Wow Factor
i like the curves of this guitar, the black walnut color on the back just screams badass. and the neck is slick like my stratocaster, which i like, and the gold makes it look expensive.

"I'm missing my EG334scb"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I had this guitar as a gift from my Sister. I played a lot of gigs with this guitar and I always had compliments about the sound and the appeal of my tak. After some year I bought two other takamines, but this time made in Japan... EF 440sgn and EF341 (Bruces Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Jake Allen) and they are amazing. I found my self with too many guitar and decided to part with the EG334. I sold it... and now I regret it so badly... I can't stop looking at picture of my self playing this guitar, I can't stop watching videos if me playing it.I with I could meet the guy that bought it from me and see if I could have it back... now a days I don't see many of these guitars in the used marketing. They don't make the EG334 any more. If you see it on sale, but it!

Value
WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY!... not that expensive but plays like a 1000 dollar guitar.
Manufacturer Support
