"Small Versatile & Mighty"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I had used Sunn amps for over 30 years. Making this change was a significant event for me. Took me months to make the choice. I doubt I will ever need anything else (except a roadie when I get really old)
Sound
The sound and quality are great. With the controls being so vesatile you can get most any sound you want. I used the rack mount space for a processor. I also added a SWR 15B cabinet for larger venues for a bit more low belly. If you need more than that you can use the XLR out to a sound board.
Features
The compressor and graphic equalizer are what I use most. It would help to have an auxilary power outlet or 2. If you rack mount an accesory, you have to plug it in separately.
Quality
I have been using this amp for over a year averaging about 12-20 hours per week performing. Has never skipped a beat.
Value
This product is reasonably priced. Especially with the versatility it offers, coupled with the power it has.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to call them. I added a Fostex DE-10 processor to help with a bit of echo in small rooms for fill.
The Wow Factor
It was a practical addition after trying out about 5 other brands. Size, versaitility, power. The color black blends in the background. Don't need chrome grills, they clutter up the set.

"Great on day one...very bad after the first gig."

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Very disappointed and now I have to start the shopping process all over again.
Sound
SWR Workingman 2x10c (combo). This amplifier is a week old, on my first gig I played at a moderate volume level and could clearly hear some sort of rattle/buzz. When I got home I discovered the buzz was coming from the power amp, vicinity of the cooling fins. I messed around with the amp for several hours (tightening screws, playing with different EQ settings), the buzz is there to stay. I'm sending this thing back, I won't give this product a second chance.
Features
The controls are easy to use and understand and overall the amp is well designed
Quality
This buzz/rattle is inexcusable.
Value
If you get one that doesn't make an irritating buzz which is audible over the sound of your entire band...this amp is a good buy.
Manufacturer Support
N/A No contact with SWR.
The Wow Factor
I shopped on line many months, read many reviews, and considered a lot of amps before deciding on the SWR 2x10c combo (could never find one in the local music stores to try out). I'm very disappointed to have this problem, my second choice will cost over a $1000.00, I may go with my third choice in the same price range.

SWR 2x10C Bass Amp Customer Review

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I have owned SWR products in the past & have made a sincere effort to like them. Unfortunately they are junk. Most notably I purchased an SWR head for about $800 a while back & after about $700 in repairs it still did not work properly & the people at SWR were unapologetic & of no assistance.I suggest you find any other amp, unless you can afford to own three SWR devices. One to use till it (inevitably breaks) & two to keep in the shop...
