"Average quality, okay price, good portability, good spl handling."

Overall: 3 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I don't use this much anymore unless the environment is very noisy, like an open aired party without an isolated DJ booth.
Sound
I think stanton made these for the club dj or anyone with basic listening requirements in a noisy environment. There is no comparison to my audio technica ath-m40fs studio headphones which are around the price, but these are much more portable and better looking. As far as sound goes, its okay....emphasized mid range, good low end, a bit harsh on the highs though.
Features
It comes with a nice pouch, the cord is plenty long and it folds down to a size that can fit in a jacket pocket comfortably. There is very little adjustment to the headband and the earpads are on the small side, so if you've got a large head or larger than average sized ears, these may not feel very comfortable.
Ease of Use
This was a plug and play device, or plug and listen I guess. It still works flawlessly to date.
Quality
The fit is pretty tight....sometimes too tight if left on for too long. So if you're accustomed to long commutes, get another headphone. Also, the material on the earpads started to flake within the first 10 times I used it with constant removing and putting them back on.
Value
I guess the price is okay, but compared to the Audio Technica and Sony MDR series, I'd put out the extra and go for those instead.
Manufacturer Support
No need to contact company.

As I said, this seems to be a working DJ's headphone, not for the audiophile, musician, recording engineer or hitchhiker.

"More i-pod not dj range!"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
im a dj and i do tend to go thru a few headphones over time, so for the price they did the job for a while, there still sort of working but they cut in and out, taken them apart and the wiring is all fine, the actualy speaker has blown in parts. considering there the dj range i wouldnt recomend them for frequent dj use.
Value
for the price i paid which was 29 pounds i think they wernt to bad, ive paid alot more for much worse. so you get more for your money with these i supose, had myn in ltd edition white but they looked great from the dancfloor but up close looked cheap as chips!

"How low can you go?"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
For anyone wanting a entry level high end headphone, these are a great choice. I looked at all types in this price range (Sennheizer, Sony, Audio Technica)and these had the best reviews on sound, which is obviously the most important thing when buying headphones. The low end of 3 hz is well below what the human ear can hear, but you definitly will hear bass notes that many other pairs won't pick up. There isn't a pair with a lower frequency response. I think the only con for these headphones is the headband may be a bit to tight for a person with a larger shaped head. I would buy these again and reccomend them to any person who had average headphones before. I wouldn't reccomend them to a audiophile enthusist however. But then again, they wouldn't want a $40 headphone either. :)
Sound
The highs are crisp but not quite as bright as I'd like, and the low end is amazing! The separation is excellent and I heard notes and sounds on my mp3s I never heard before!
Features
I like the single side cord because it prevents from accidental snags, and they fold up nicely making them travel friendly in a bag or backpack. The headband takes a little getting used to however since there are no notches to choose for your head size.
Ease of Use
Very easy to wear and they are snug (maybe too snug for some people) so they isolate sound well and block outside noise. Great for riding a bus.
Quality
Stanton only makes audio equipment, and mainly for DJs, so the quality is very well made.
Value
I truly believe these are the best sounding headphones in thier price range.
Manufacturer Support
No need so far.

"CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP"

Overall: 2.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I wasnt satisfied, but I wasnt dissapointed. I expected more out of this headphone, but got something's I wasnt expecting but that was very little.
Sound
Great on bass, nearly OK for everything else. The bass can be produced with hardly any power. Flat sounding, no high notes are recognized.
Features
I like the self adjusting headband, though made very cheap, they just use a rubber band that clips to a hook, so that after it is stretched, it will return to its compact size. It looks pretty good. For the money... I got what I paid for which is not much. I dont know if it was just my headphones, but mine didnt sit on your head straight, they were crooked, and almost seemed like they were meant to be that way, for shoulder listening. But it just got annoying.
Quality
NOT VERY GOOD. I blew a speaker after a months use. However everything else still works, the cheap self adjusting headband, the cups swivel, No cracks. I just blew the speaker. However the cheapness comes with easy wear, there were certian things that just started to happen where I had to say, "wow that is cheap!" BUT YEAH, WHAT CAN I SAY FOR 30 DOLLAR HEAD PHONES!
Value
Value... cheap, yet CHEAP! I didnt have much to say about these when I got them, I was impressed with the bass, but all the other sounds were quite flat and wasnt impressive.
Manufacturer Support
I have stanton turntables, they are good! Basic, they are what they say they are, no surprizes! Never had a problem with the tables or the Mixer I have. These headphones, if I complained, it would be kind of dumb, I paid 30 bucks, I paid a dollar a day of usage... what more can I ask for?
The Wow Factor
Looks good, actually I REALLY like the way they look when not on your head. I like the little plastic things that guide the headband. They look neat and unique. and the color of the cups, that is a neat color too.
