I own many guitars in many price ranges. My Son was over whne the guitar arrived. So we took a look together. Not sure where to begin? Okay the guitar was unplayable. I can surely say that this guitar went through zero quality checks. High E on the edge of the fretboard. Low E also on the edge of the fretboard and I mean when you try to play anything they are off the fretboard. G string was mute. The 3 bridge saddles had one adjustment stud all the way up and the other all the way down. On all 3 saddles. Neck pickup dead. Bridge pickup very weak. I almost sent this guitar back. But I`m a sucker for a challenge. Okay the bone nut was cut very wrong. I will just shorten this review because there is too much. Took me 3 or more hours to repair this new guitar and that includes Seymour Duncan pickups and tons more including a vintage Sprague Capacitor from the 50`s. The reason I kept the guitar is the neck. I have a 50th Anniversary Strat made in 03 for the Anniversary in 04. One of the best playing guitars I own. They two necks are almost identical in profile. So if you don not know the ins and outs of setting up an guitar? I would not recommend this guitar. Even if you do? Is it worth it ??? Next time my Son came over I pulled the Tele out. He now says it is the best playing Tele he has ever played. I was looking and thinking about my main Guitars. Two are Japanese made and the other is the Fender 50th Anniversary. I have owned several Eric Johnson Strats and they were not perfect. Gibson has been a disaster. $2,300 Angus Sg and the neck was set wrong. Oh I could keep going. Brand new Studio LP Dead neck Pickup. ZZounds should sell FGN-Fujigen Guitars. I have many and not one is bad. Samick made this Tele I am reviewing and it is an disgrace! I have Samicks from the 80`s and they are good, not Great but good. My main Guitar is an 83 Electra Phoenix-Japan, 1985-6 ESP neck thru body with a Floyd Rose, and the Fender 50th Strat. Any one of these would destroy a Gibson. Here is a true story. I bought a brand new Tele copy about 4 years ago to turn it into a Dragon Tele. It Plays perfectly, has a wonderful Tiger Maple neck and sounds like a 58-9 Tele. It was a $149 and free shipping. I expected junk, but when it came I played it for about 4 hours. This Squier for being a new guitar is a disaster. Also the finish has saw dust under it too. But it plays wonderful now. I didn`t call Fender but I guess I will give support a 5 ??? This guitar was terrible. It will be given 2`s
