First of all, the sales experience was a breeze. My bass showed up this morning, a day and a half after I ordered it. Packing was spot on, and the instrument was unblemished. The Olympic White finish is gorgeous, about the color of vanilla pudding. The maple fretboard is a striking contrast and the neck is comfortable and quick.Set up and intonation we're spot on and the neck is true.Hardware is workmanlike and attractive. The pickups are typical Jazz Bass. From a ringing bell like high to thumping lows, this one will do it all. I've already had her slinging Classic Rock and Blues and she performed.I'd have gladly paid twice what I did for this bass. If you're on the fence, get one. Yesterday!

"Great value"

Wanted a 5 string but couldn’t because of shoulder issue.Found this bass with a thinner lightweight body but traditional spec neck and it’s perfect!Had some buzzing issues due to a couple of high frets.Filed them down and recrowned them and it plays great. The pickups are decent and the tuners, which were a little sticky at first, work fine and hold tune. May replace the nut eventually with a tusq nut but that’s just my preference.Only other issue is that the neck is unfinished.I will probably put some true oil on it .If you are a DIY it’s no problem, otherwise you would probably add another $100 inn labor but still well worth it IMHO.

If you are in the market for a V or this will be your first V start here. There is no better 5 on the market at this price point than this. The one I ordered came in perfect condition. I tuned up and played without much adjustment. The really nice thing is you can customize this platform to your hearts content and it is built like a tank. Oh and yes...that Fender sound! Impossible to beat!

This is my second review.Bought the maple board previously but sold it because I wanted rosewood type.Nice playing bass but should have kept the maple as the position markers are easier to see.Other than that ,nice sounding bass.Easy on the shoulder and stays in tune well.Still can’t beat it for the price,I may buy another maple board at this price and you can mod these easily for not a lot of money! Why spend thousands when you can get new pickups(not that they are needed),tuners and a bridge for a couple of hundred and still have spent less than $600?I did replace the nut onMine for $12 and may put a Gotoh bridge on it eventually for $60 but that’s about it.
