I purchased this one before my jazzmaster, it to is a great guitar out of the box, the pickups sound great, the are not bassy like a Gibson humbucker they have a great tele tone, the fret work is wonderful, the tuners work well, not heavy, it plays like a dream, it is much better than the classic vibe models, i had the classic vibe mustang and it was terrible. this series of guitars are amazing, just go to you tube. purchased from zZounds.

This is a great guitar at any price. The fit, finish, and setup is flawless. The neck is nicely rounded at the fretboard edges and the ends of the frets are nice and smooth. The fretwork is impeccable and this guitar stays in tune perfectly. If I was really looking to pick it apart, the toggle switch is installed horizontally instead of vertically but this is easily fixed by loosening the nut and turning the switch 90 degrees.

This is a great guitar for the price. The playability and setup were flawless, and the fret ends and edges of the board are smooth and comfortable. Fender has even upgraded to much higher quality potentiometers, full size, smooth feel, and evenly tapered audio. My only issue with this instrument is that the pickup selector switch is defective. One or the other her pickups always makes a poor connection but that was easily repaired.
