Got this instrument from zZounds and am delighted with it. I wanted a short scale bass to record with and this instrument gave me that and then some. The only thing requiring set up so far is the intonation on the low E. I also purchased the Gator bass gig bag--well worth the $99!

I've looked online, and EVERYONE that gets this has the same issues. Most importantly, it is impossible to properly intonate the low E string. That renders the entire instrument useless. I tried to invoke the warranty, logged into the Fender site, it asked me to register my instrument, though I did the day I got it, so no help from them. Sending it back.
