it has definitely led me to play on the highest frets more
Sound
the bridge pickup has a little more bite, and when you combine the two pickups, you get a warmer sound. This guitar can't draw heavy rock (AC DC)tones due to its shorter scale.
Features
it came with two allen wrenches, one for the bridge and one for the truss rod. but nothing else.
Ease of Use
this neck is very playable, even up on the high frets. however, the higher frets are kinda sharp(especially on the first three strings)and very small, again, due to its shorter scale.
Quality
the finish was perfect, the fit great, my only worry is that the polyurethane on the fretboard will wear away, but that would happen anyway.
Value
you can't get more
Manufacturer Support
the only reason it gets an eight is because i had to figure out which pickup was which on the pickup selector switch, and i had to go to the website,www.squierguitars.com/pdf/current/Miscellaneous/Squier Classic Vibe Duo Donic-service.pdf, which gives the electronic layout
The Wow Factor
it looks great, the metal pickguard and maple fretboard complementing the finish nicely.
