** READ FIRST ** This is a great Mic and i use many other slate plugins that work off of the iLok Cloud system, PLEASE NOTE in order to use this mic with the virtual slate mic locker plug-in YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PHYSICAL ILOK, the iLok cloud does not yet support he licenses required for the "classic instrument" mic locker from slate. AGAIN, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PHYSICAL ILOK TO USE THE PLUG-INS THE WAY IT IS INTENDED, NO OTHER WAY AROUND IT. hopefully SLATE will update the "classic instruments" plugin to work with iLok cloud soon.

"Nice SDC for those with huge chest cavities"

I'm almost always disappointed with recordings of my voice using a large diaphragm condenser. Because of my exceptionally large chest cavity, my voice has a lot of low end. But it sounds better when that low end is not mashing every other frequency, and I have found LDCs to be the best for my particular voice. I've also had good luck with a Blue Spark, which has a medium diaphragm. They are both inexpensive IMO, and both deliver. This will likely be my goto mic for my own vocal recordings moving forward. So much so, that I've got it mounted to my regular latch lake stand for quick recording setups. Will probably get another to have a pair for the studio.
