I purchased a tobacco sunburst finished V3 back in November. First, the quality of this “entry level” bass is amazing. The fit and finish is top notch. The color, you ask? Beautiful. I took a chance ordering this bass without ever having played one based on the reviews.This neck is super fast even with my preferred slightly high action. Wasn’t thrilled about the brightness of the strings but after playing them for a week or so the fattened up nicely. Balance is great, weight is great.The sound! I’ve never played a bass with so many tone options. Passive, active. The sweepable mid control is awesome. The pickups are minters tone wise, in a good way. My only “issue” with the controls is I wish for a firmer center detent. Too easy with the softness of the detent to not know exactly where you’re at while making changes on stage. I have found a tone setting I love and make very minor adjustments for the room.I haven’t had to contact the manufacturer so I have no review about that.I’m 56 years old and this is the first brand new bass I’ve purchased since 1986. That was a Peavey Fury P bass that cost me all of $139. In ‘89 I found an Ibanez Roadstar II bass at a pawnshop that I still play and adore. Every other bass I’ve purchased since has been used, until this one. So happy I made the decision to buy this bass.
