"Audition before you buy."

If I think how much I paid for it, my heart sinks into my stomach. It will lie in my drawer until I finally get courage together to throw it away. What a waste of money.
Sound
Very mid-tone heavy. In fact, the mid-tones have a sort of bullhorn effect. Cymbals don't sizzle, they sneeze. Snare drums sound like they have a blanket over them. Tone controls on your MP3 or CD player (with bass boost) is a must, yet even then the bass disappoints. Highs also don't seem to be extended, as the manufacturer claims. No frequency response graphs available for this product. Blocks outside sounds very well, depending on earplug used.
Features
A large selection of ear plugs from small to big, from soft to hard, different shapes and materials. Also supplied is an in-line volume control so if your MP3/CD has a high background hiss, turn up your MP3 and turn down this supplied volume control. Replacement ear plug stems and earwax removing tool supplied (!)
Ease of Use
Read the instructions on how to fit them. It takes some getting used to. Correct fitting is essential, but once you get the hang of it, they sit securely; moreso than your average in-ear earphone. Here is where the professional heritage of the E-series shows.
Quality
Build quality is very good. Cables sturdier than your average in-ear earphone. All the more surprising that the sound is so bad.
Value
Perhaps for professional on-stage monitoring or TV use, this is the one; because speech is very clear. But for music listening pleasure you can get other ear canal phones for 1/10 of the price and they sound so much better.
Manufacturer Support
Never needed. Cannot return it for hygiene reasons because I tried all the earplugs.
The Wow Factor
It's pretty, especially the white one. But I cannot return it because I opened all the earplugs (I was hoping in vain for one that would raise the bass). But as to the claim that "delivers brilliant highs and extended bass that enhance your listening experience with your portable MP3, DVD, and CD players ..." No. Nonono.
