Sennheiser e945 Microphone Customer Review

Umm, it's awesome.
Sound
Amazing sound quality. It is very warm. It cuts through the mix. Live, it is excellent and it has great feedback rejection.
Features
It comes with a mic clip. A nice little pouch, but nothing special. It's a mic, you didn't buy it for anything extra.
Ease of Use
Plug it in. It doesn't need as much tuning and tweaking as a lot of other mics. It picks up the highs, lows, and mids almost perfectly. So, for a beginner who wants to sound good out the box, it's excellent.
Quality
German made. Super quality. It's heavy and you can tell it could take some damage.
Value
For the price, it's hard to beat. For a live dynamic microphone of this sound quality, I can't imagine finding something better in this price range or out of it.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't need any so far.
The Wow Factor
If you're lead singer or you want your voice to sound better in a band, get it.

One of the best mics for a full sound throughout the whole spectrum. I've used other mics in the same range, and usually come back to this mic. Clear, full lows, present and not hyped. Get it.

I have more affordable mics and a more expensive one. The more expensive one sounds great, but is very sensitive to handling noise. This mic is a great compromise - sensitive, clean, accurate, but not much handling noise. A great accomplishment !

"Excellent Vocal Mic!!!"

After being EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED for MANY YEARS with vocal microphones that absolutely did not get the job done, my first use of the Sennheiser E945 was truly an "OMG! FINALLY!!!" moment! WOW X10!!! I HIGHLY recommend this professional level vocal mic to any serious vocalist. You will not be disappointed (make sure you have a decent audio engineer to mix your vocals & sound!!!) Having used the e935 with sound companies and finding them phenomenal, I wanted to go with the e945 supercardioid mic as its specs and design work far better in close proximity set ups with my Bose L1 Model II system. A tight pick-up field, yet using gain attenuation, allows me to get off the mic and work the field with my vocal approach. Smooth, CLEAN, excellent response, capturing my voice to help deliver the vocal performance. I've thrown out all my other mics as they simply delivered EPIC PERFORMANCE FAILURE. I am now "a mic snob." Thank you Sennheiser!!!

I have to say I was a little skeptical about it being that much better than a Sure 58, but after trying it out for the first time I was sold. What a great mic.
