I love this guitar. It produces rich, clear tones that ring out whether strummed or played finger style, using the Godin A6 light strings it came with. The playability is excellent. I was looking for a steel string guitar that was a little wider than normal at the nut because my fingers are so thick, and this one is perfect (as I recall, it is 1.8" at the nut). It is a versatile instrument. I use this guitar as my primary instrument for leading worship, but it is also great for solo flamenco style playing for a steel string. guitar. Another great bonus is that this guitar stays in tune! I suppose that's largely due to the way the headstock is designed, the strings are straighter. I will say that the look of the headstock isn't very attractive to me, but who cares if the functionality is improved. I highly recommend this guitar. The Godin strings it came with sound pretty good, but I'm going to try a higher-end string soon, and I bet that makes this guitar really sing.

Purchased this to replace an older Martin DX. Sounds big like the Martin, but with much better clarity in the treble end. A light set-up and a little humidity resulted in an incredible guitar. Seagull lives up to the hype. The S6 is an excellent instrument that plays everything from big chords to finger style. Check out the Godin factory tour YouTube videos, for an idea on how the S6 is made. A great team at Godin Canada!Lastly, I purchased a blemished model, but it was perfect and free of any imperfections, short of one small pick scratch on the pick guard. Blemished items at zZounds are always a great bargain, and I have been very happy with the prices and products. Thanks for saving me a few bucks zZounds!

I had just played a used Taylor 214 at a local shop. It was $850. This S6 blew that Taylor away. The S6 plays so easily. It is hard to put down. Some chords I can't play on other guitars, well I can on this S6. Worth every penny.
