I purchased this guitar without ever playing a Schecter. When it showed up, it definitely exceeded my expectations. This 12 string is absolutely beautiful, sturdy, with rich and shimmering tones- the push/pull pots are crazy cool. I haven't come across any problems with tuning/staying in tune. I do use a capo frequently and the intonation is great, but I recommend a strong capo. I love the feel of this guitar and it has a comfortably wider neck, it's very playable and it doesn't interfere with your music by telling your brain "ouch, I'm playing a 12 string." It's hard to believe the price. I've owned it for about a month now and I still can't stop staring at it. Sitting next to a USA Les Paul, SG, and Fender Strat, the Stargazer is still a total knockout. This is a sexy guitar. I highly recommend.
