I received this bass and was a little disappointed when I played it. I went over it and set the intonation and worked with the height of the pickups, but was still disappointed with the sound. Too bright and I could not tone it down. I had all intention of sending it back but decided to do a string change. Wow! What a differences. The sound I was looking for. I went with the D'Addario NY/XL. Good bass guitar for the price. I have been playing for over 30 years and it was the first bass manufactured in china that I will keep for a while.
