Do not overlook these. I purchased them for corporate work. They have been great for covering small to medium venues and audiences ( so far I have gone up to about 150 people). I have used them for music as well as speaking presentations including one large outdoor party and they were more than adequate even for that. If you are in a spot where you are trying to not go over the top on spending, but need some decent pro grade audio reinforcement, get these.

If you are looking to stay around $500 for a pair of amplified speakers; these are a great way to go. The listed 500 watts might be a little optimistic, (In other words two of these would be a 1000 watt system) you are not going to pull that much with these in my opinion, but as far as sound quality, they are really pretty good, and they will get loud. I even did an outdoor event with just two of these and they were more than adequate (about 75-85 people). They have a clip light that seems to kick on easily, watch your signal levels - line vs mic etc. and you should be fine; they have not cut out on me or over heated. I have run them through a Mackie mixer and a Behringer mixer and have been able to get good sound from them. These would be really good for corporate event type work.
