I am a multi-instrumentalist, use 7 or 8 inputs with my band's pa. As a solo artist I don't want to carry around and spend so much time setting up a larger pa. I play on river boats, in school auditoriums & gyms, community buildings, coffee shops, etc. I needed at least 4 xlr inputs, at least 2 with phantom power for my DIs (LR Baggs Para Acoustic), I use 2 mics (vocal & instrument). Quality of sound is critical to me as well. The Roland SA-300 sounds fabulous, does everything I wanted with lots of options. I use a pedal board for my 2 DIs and a Boss FS-6 dual foot switch that lets me mute the whole SA-300 system and turn effects on and off. This thing has lots of power for my smaller gig settings. I can leave the larger bottom speaker at home for smaller spaces but I usually bring it and sit on it when playing my hammered dulcimer. I can take a speaker stand to get the smaller unit up above seated crowd level. EQ is not available for each channel but my DIs provide that for my instruments. I can set up in less than half the time of my larger PAs. And carrying it is a breeze!I am extremely happy with the SA-300 and love it more each time I pick it up to load it up in my car.

"versatile amp"
I really, really like this amp. I play weddings and small venues, and do a little DJing on the side as well. I have DJed small parties with it, and I'm thinking about getting a second one so that I can have a true stereo setup with them...think about it, 4 - 6 1/2 speakers, 2 subs, 700w power in a package I can carry in the back of my car and pack in in 2 trips (1 if I use the cart) by myself.
Sound
Sound is good with plenty of volume - at 3/4 main power you get a bit of hiss, and it is a little soft if you are plugging the guitar straight in, so plan on a preamp if you're playing an acoustic guitar ( I have a SD MagMic on my guitar). I've hooked my keyboard and my guitar to it, and this thing rocks except for the volume with my acoustic. Also, it is a 'stereo' amp, but with speakers that close together, there isn't all that much separation.
Features
I love the fact that the sub is detachable. If you don't need it for the gig, you don't have to pack it - awesome. Fairly light weight. I think the specs are a touch wrong about the weight, but still light enough to carry easily.
Ease of Use
Plug it in, and flip the switch. How much easier do you want?
Quality
Built like a rock. I'm a little wary of the foam windscreen stuff on the front, but after about 6 months of use I can't tell any ware yet.
Value
I'm glad they dropped the price, but its still a bit on the pricey side.
Manufacturer Support
Not needed yet.
The Wow Factor
Looks sharp and like a serious piece of equipment. Reminds me of a small marshall half stack.

"roland sa-300...great gear!"
Get it you won't be disappointed
Sound
Incredible sounding! I use this amp for my Roland juno-d, a sampling peddle, and my vocals in a reggae band. Anything stereo sounds sweet, my boss gt-8 sound pretty damn good running stereo through this. The built in reverb and delay make vocals nice sounding. One of my band members and I used it for two acoustic guitars and vocals for acoustic sets and it really shines in the acoustic department. If you play acoustic guitar this amp is exceptional.
Features
so lite weight, you couldn't want much more. One of the reasons I purchased this amp was for its massive amount of I/O's. Sharp looking too.
Ease of Use
just plug and play
Quality
pretty solid. Nice layout of controls
Value
some what expensive but worth it
Manufacturer Support
no issues, but I have lots of roland and boss gear and there support is great
The Wow Factor
I want another to link them together

"Excellent lightweight stereo amp, perfect for digital pianos."
I would like better stereo separation, but this unit
is adequate for my purposes.
Sound
Stereo separation is modest, but I find it effective
for reproducing the stereo samples in digital pianos.
Plenty of power for the small restaurant/coffee house
venues I play in.
Features
Biggest feature: light weight. I don't like to lug
around heavy equipment, and each of the two components
of this amp weighs less than 30 pounds.
Ease of Use
Pretty standard controls, easy to use.
Quality
Good quality, absolutely no problems in over one year, gigging
about twice a week.
Value
Well, it is expensive!! If you are on a budget, you might
choose more weight/less cost.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed support.
