Honestly been looking at these boutique series for a while so i grabbed the JD 08 and the little keyboard for it to link up with my MPC One. I've been really impressed with my recent roland purchases. I got this, the S -1 Tweak Synth and a SP 404 mk 2 all pretty recently and i incorporated them into my MPC work flow. The reason I didn't get the little juno boutique is i have the new Jura plugin which i really like! I use USB midi on my JD 08 to use the keyboard with the jura plugin until my mpk mini plus arrives! I really like being able to layer patches and easy tweaking for live performances. My set up is really starting to come together in a work flow i can really get used to, while I have a model cycles a drum brute and numerous other gear electribes etc etc I don't use them like i have been using my mpc one and roland gear. i think im going to set up a second dawless area when i have more room with that other gear, i might try to use the FM synth engine on the Cycles sequenced out from my MPC one but it feels weird using it just for one track? tho i think each track runs on a different midi channel so maybe i could do multiple tracks with the MPC. The fun of owning gear!
