I have ownec the last 2 fantom the G and the X, is thisFantom Synth/workstaion is in a class of its own.Real synthisizer controls and knobs. 16 zone instruments which allows up to 16 instruments in a layer or zone, clip recording le Ableton live, srep recording or tr-rec and realtime recording you have options. The pads are used for the sampler, and for many other features such as da control, changng scenes, changing saved instruments and many other features. I use ir side by side with the Yamaha Motif, thy are very different in sounds and features.
