I also own a Rev 7, I was hoping to replace my rev 7 with the performer... it seemed to have everything the R7 has plus 2 additional channels. But you cannot connect Denon sc6000m to use as 3rd and 4th channel. Serato does not allow 4 spinning platters. But if you are using the non spinning platters CDJs it will work. Also it is not compatible with Aligoriddom DJay Pro,(which i feel is the best software for mobile DJ) even though the rane four, and Rev 7 is compatible, . Allgoriddom cant say if they will update. The effects section looks really cool, but I don't find it as user friendly as the pioneer rev 7. And the biggest thing is the external effect does not have auto beat detection, like the Rev 7. Which is huge. especially when the manual tap isn't the most accurate. All in all its a good controller. The construction is solid, and the moving platters feel nice... although they are a considerably tighter than the rev 7 I tried the different inserts, but i could barely tell a difference. would be cool if you could adjust the tension some other way. doing back spin effect is very limited due to the tight tension. The Rev 7 tension is a looser and feels easier to control. now lets talk stem control. I'm sorry it don't find splitting the channels that useful when you can already do it 4 different ways without that feature. I do like the beat jump twist knob which i remapped to activate auto loop and loop size. overall its a nice deck if you want 4 channels, but you cannot add denon sc6000m to them. sound quality is great, but the main volume control is to sensitive. you barely turn it and its super loud.

it is now compatible with Allgoriddum DJay Pro and works amazing, even gives you the internal mixer features. This somewhat trumps its few short comings.. I know give it a 5! I wish they would've done it sooner before I returned it.
