I was looking for the loudest and best-in-class 12" powered speaker for the top cabs in my PA system, and it came down between these and another popular model from Yamaha. I went with the RCF's and have never regretted it. These sound almost like hi-fi speakers in a live sound package. I've used them for numerous gigs, and in most cases they've been plenty loud, even without using my subs. The only downside is that there's no tweakable DSP, so if you're using with subs, you'll either need a crossover or some subs with a hi-pass full range pass through output for connection to these.
