I've always been a fan of RCF since first hearing them years ago in downtown Las Vegas for the downtown stage bands and the Fremont Street Canopy sound system canopy light show so I know how good RCF stuff is. And I'm very picky about sound. And this Jmix8 doesn't disappoint, what a great sounding system. I'm a keyboard player and singer, do the solo act thing with DAW backing tracks with a high end UA Apollo Twin X interface and plugins that I use to play live professionally with a higher end condenser mic for vocals. I play often. And this Jmix8 from the low end to the mids and top end is impressive. Specifically, the bass is nice and full and tight/punchy. And the highs are very detailed and the mids are excellent. The 120 degree horizonal coverage makes a big difference in getting the sound to a wider area. I played an outdoor event and the person who hired me said she was impressed with the sound and said she heard the sound clearly all over the place, even behind me, which was interesting. I've used this in hotel lobbies for softer volume applications, a few outdoor gigs that I had to cover large areas and push the volume, large patio pool parties, etc. and the coverage frankly surprised me and how much volume I could push towards the back, side, just everywhere in a venue. And I'm just using one Jmix8 and that's far enough for my needs/the audience. It's LOUD. And quality sound all the way up volume wise. I've used a QSC 10.2 for the top and an RCF subwoofer for the lows as my main system for years. And while I think the QSC still sounds very good, I think this RCF system is a few steps above the QSC 10.2 I've used for so long. I'm hearing details in the highs on the Jmix8 I haven't heard in the 10.2's and that surprised me. I like the mids better also from the Jmix8. Everything in the frequency spectrum just sounds "right" and balanced. My vocals just sound much more present and again that surprised me vs the QSC 10.2. I've had compliments on my voice over the years using the 10.2 system but those compliments went up much more using the Jmix8, even from people who have heard me many times. I don't think most realize I have a new system, just to them it just sounds better, which to me is what it's all about, the audience reaction beyond my selfish nerdy sound preferences. I bought the mixer version strictly for the bluetooth to play break background music while I'm setting up and on breaks via my phone. Otherwise, I'm just using one input to the mixer from my UA Apollo Twin X output which has the mic and DAW premixed. It's nice to have all the extra inputs on the Jmix8 just in case my laptop/Apollo fails or something and I can plug in directly the mic into the Jmix mixer as a backup. As for the design, love how the array speaker fits in the back of the sub case for travel. Very clever design. If I had a criticism, it would be that it would have been nice to have 2 handles on the side of the main cabinet to lift in/out. The bottom cabinet is kind of tall and just having a handle on the top for me makes it a bit awkward to lift the unit higher. But I can live with that as the sound of the unit is just so good. Glad I bought it and it will be my main sound system for years to come. And finally, thank you to zZounds. They are great in shipping things and everything so far has arrived in good shape that I've ordered from them. And prices have been very good in regards to matching prices and such.

**Been a sound man for over 10 years, my experience ranges from club/bar bands to weddings** I use this rig for solo acoustic and wedding ceremonies. It’s looks great, and sounds good, BUT the on board mixer Leaves a lot to be desired.. The channel eq is pretty awful.. low and high is fixed, one sweepable mid. You can’t really tweak anything the way you need to. Forget using a lav mic. Yes there’s ONE graphic but it’s starts at 125hz.. can’t tweak the way you need to. You get ONE fx, with minimal tweaking. Using the mixer with and without a iOS device is very cumbersome to say the least.. I’m hoping the there will be a software upgrade to add more features to this unit. I went for it bc I wanted to carry less.. I was using a speaker on stick and a xr12, bc I wanted to clean things up.... Sadly, I will need to bring along my xr12 because the onboard mixer of the RCF doesn’t have enough in the eq section to really tweak anything. My advice is to stay away from this unit... The J8 is the better buy.. bc you will end up using an external mixer anyway.

I've been supplementing with it with a submixer. I didn't buy it to not use its mixer. The pre's are poorly executed at this price point and its phantom power suspect. I agree with the other review. Stay clear
